3 Years of Mixtape Massacre

3 years ago today, our little game, Mixtape Massacre, popped up on Kickstarter. 30 days later it was fully backed (as well as achieved some stretch goals). It was definitely an awesome and humbling moment for our team to have so many people come out and root for our game, be it new fans, our original backers, friends, and family.

The game has also grown over the last couple years thanks to so many fans spreading the word and press outlets showing love for Mixtape Massacre and rooting our little game along, like Dread Central, Bloody Digusting, Birth.Movies.Death., 13th FloorShockwaves Podcast, Daily Dead, Trick or Tread Radio, and more.

It has been awesome to have all of you along for the ride and even more exciting to have so many people joining the fun in our little town of Tall Oaks.

It’s crazy to think what started out as an idea at a friends Game Night turned into something so much more. We wanted to make a game that was accessible to gamers and non-gamers alike and that would provide people with a fun nostalgia trip that would have them laughing while they’re slashing. And so we did…

We never thought the original game would be a thing, let alone we’d have an expansion launching this year. The Black Masque Expansion is literally happening because fans kept asking for more, and so we said, “Let’s do it.”

3 years, 2 Kickstarters, Sold Out Twice, and now restocked with our 3rd printing of the game as well as about to launch our first expansion. It’s very exciting times and we’re incredibly humble and thankful to all of our backers, supporters, and friends.

To celebrate these past 3 years, we’ll have some fun announcements as well as contests from April 8th –  May 8th on our social media channels, so be sure to follow along.
